The Salty Sweet is proudly veteran-owned and family-run — built with grit, heart, and a whole lot of buttercream.

My husband, Matt, is a retired U.S. Army service-connected disabled veteran and the steady hand behind the scenes. He keeps the ovens humming while I focus on the frosting magic.

I’m Amellia — baker, beach lover, and swirl perfectionist. I’ve been baking since I was little, always happiest with flour on my hands and something sweet in the oven. So working at The Sweet Shoppe of the South (Cupcake Wars winners!) felt like a natural fit — cupcakes have always been my love language.

The Salty Sweet grew from that lifelong passion — inspired by salty air, sweet moments, and the joy that only a really good cupcake can bring.
